Welcome to the Exeter Wine Festival. These Terms and Conditions govern your purchase of tickets and attendance at the event. By purchasing a ticket via www.exeterwinefestival.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Validity: Tickets are valid only for the specific dates (30 April – 2 May 2027) and session times stated on your booking confirmation.
Booking Details: Tickets are subject to availability. You will receive an email confirmation containing your e-ticket once your purchase is complete. You must present this e-ticket (printed or on a mobile device) upon entry.
Inclusions: Your ticket includes all-day access to the festival site, a festival tasting glass and access to the wine tasting experience during your allocated tasting session. Your allocated session time applies to the indoor wine tasting experience only. Food, drinks and other purchases may be available separately.
Non-Transferable: Tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold for commercial gain.
Standard Refund Policy: Tickets are strictly non-refundable from 7 days prior to the start of the event onwards.
Requests Before 7 Days: If you request a refund more than 7 days before the event, we will review the request and, at our discretion, may issue a refund (minus any booking or processing fees).
Event Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the Exeter Wine Festival is cancelled in its entirety, you will be offered a full refund of the ticket price. We are not liable for any other costs you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation.
Strictly 18+: By law, you must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket and attend the Exeter Wine Festival.
Challenge 25: We operate a strict “Challenge 25” policy. If you look under 25, you will be asked to provide valid, photographic ID (a valid passport or UK driving licence) before being granted entry. Failure to produce valid ID will result in denied entry without a refund.
No Minors: Due to the nature of the event, nobody under the age of 18 (including babies and toddlers) is permitted on the premises.
Location: The event takes place at Exeter Castle, Castle Street, Exeter, Devon, EX4 3PU. Attendees must respect the historic nature of the venue and its grounds at all times.
Session Times: Your allocated session time applies to the indoor wine tasting experience. Once your tasting session finishes, you are welcome to remain on the wider festival site for the rest of the day and enjoy the food, live music and other festival activities.
Right of Refusal: The Exeter Wine Festival and Exeter Castle staff reserve the right to refuse admission or remove anyone from the premises who is intoxicated, behaving inappropriately, or causing a nuisance, without any right to a refund.
Food options will be available to purchase separately from independent vendors during the event.
Food and drink policy: No food or drink may be brought into the event, with the exception of one sealed bottle of water per person. Bags may be searched on entry, and any prohibited food or drink will be confiscated.
Allergies: The Exeter Wine Festival is not responsible for food served by independent vendors. If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, you must speak directly to the individual food vendor before purchasing or consuming any food.
We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings while you are at the event.
Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising out of your attendance at the event. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Accessibility: If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us prior to purchasing a ticket so we can advise on the accessibility of Exeter Castle and its grounds.
By attending the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed by our official media teams. These images and recordings may be used for future promotional purposes (including on our website and social media) without compensation.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
